Coroner identifies woman found dead inside burning motorhome

POCATELLO – The Bannock County Coroner has identified the woman who was found dead inside a burning motorhome.
Coroner Torey Danner has identified the woman as Christina McCarty Varner, 64, of Pocatello.

The incident remains under investigation by the Pocatello Police Department.
“My heart goes out to Christina’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time,” says Torey Danner in a news release.
According to the Pocatello Fire Department, crews were called to Mountain View Mobile Home and RV park on July 21, just after 8 p.m.
The fire was contained to a single motorhome, and Varner was confirmed deceased, according to a news release. The fire department and the Pocatello Police Department are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire.
