According to the Idaho State Police, the crash occurred at 11:12 a.m. on North Road just west of Johnson Road in Ovid.

Wright was riding a 2014 Polaris Sportsman, eastbound on North Road.

A 22-year-old male from Nibley, Utah, was traveling westbound on North Road in a 2021 GMC Savana.

Wright abruptly swerved to avoid colliding with the GMC and lost control. The Polaris went off the south side of the road, impacted a concrete barrier, and overturned.

Wright was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Investigators say he was not wearing a helmet.

The driver of the GMC was wearing a seatbelt.
