Motorcyclist dies after two vehicle wreck

BURLEY — Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.

The crash occurred at around 10:30 p.m. Friday at 1033 West Bedke Boulevard in Burley, according to an ISP news release.

Troopers report a 2015 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by a 59-year-old man from Heyburn was traveling northbound on Bedke Boulevard. A 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 33-year-old man from Burley was traveling southbound on Bedke Boulevard.

The Kawasaki went to the left of center and struck the Jeep.

The driver of the Kawasaki died at the scene and was wearing a helmet. The driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital. Driver of the Jeep was wearing a seat belt.

The roadway was blocked for approximately two hours.
