SUGAR CITY — Drivers traveling on U.S. Highway 20 north of Sugar City should prepare for overnight delays beginning Monday as crews launch a monthlong road repair project.
The Idaho Transportation Department and its contractors will begin work between Exit 338 at Sugar City/Salem and East 200 North. Construction will take place overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Traffic will be reduced in two-mile stretches as crews move through the project area. Work will include crack repairs, improvements to roadway joints and repaving designed to provide a smoother ride in both directions.
Construction will be paused for Labor Day weekend and the project is expected to be finished by mid-September.
