Man dies after being pulled out of Snake River in Idaho Falls

IDAHO FALLS — An investigation is underway after a man was pulled from the Snake River in Idaho Falls on Monday afternoon. He was later pronounced dead.
Emergency crews were called to the river near Quality Inn at 525 River Parkway around 5:20 p.m. after receiving reports that the man had either fallen or jumped into the river.
The Idaho Falls Police Department, Idaho Falls Fire Department and Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and began lifesaving measures on the man. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The incident is being investigated as a possible suicide, but the manner of death has not been officially determined.
