Faith Hedgepeth Trial, Day 3: Autopsy photos, a bloody bottle, and more chilling evidence

Jurors saw graphic crime scene images from the room where Faith Hedgepeth was killed, heard about a bloody bottle beleved to be the murder weapon, and learned new details about the injuries that took the life of the 19-year-old UNC-Chapel Hill student.
The defense also seized on mistakes made during the investigation, including a missing DNA swab and a cellphone that could not be tested because of how it was handled. Some jurors were visibly emotional during the medical examiner’s testimony.
