POCATELLO — The Pocatello Police Department and Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 are investigating several incidents involving potential threats against Irving Middle School over the past two days.

According to a joint statement put out Friday morning by the district and the police department, police investigated each incident and found no credible threat to students or the school.

Police said they identified the individuals involved and took appropriate action. Officials did not provide details about the incidents or the actions taken.

Police and school district officials thanked students, parents, staff, and community members for reporting their concerns and encouraged the public to continue speaking up about suspicious statements, messages, or behavior.

They emphasized that even reports that may initially seem minor should be brought to the attention of law enforcement or school officials.

“The safety of our students and the children in our community remains a top priority,” the joint statement said. “Every report is taken seriously, and we appreciate the community’s continued vigilance, cooperation, and support in helping maintain a safe learning environment.”
