AK-47 Bandit Hits Nebraska Bank

(NEBRASKA CITY, NE) – A man who robbed a Rexburg credit union in 2012 is believed to have robbed a bank in Nebraska last month.
The person known as the AK-47 Bandit walked into a bank in Nebraska City with an assault rifle and a suitcase on August 22. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash and locked the employees in a safe.
The man is accused of robbing a bank in Chino, California, in which he also shot and wounded a police officer. He’s also been linked to a robbery in Washington state.
