Rexburg Finalizes Flood Mitigation Plan
Published at | Updated at(REXBURG, ID) – The city of Rexburg has approved a new flood mitigation plan. Local News 8 reports that the city will raise the Rodney Street lift station by about two feet, and clean out the drainage ditch near the Ricks-Palmer subdivision.
Earlier this summer, heavy rains caused extensive damage to several homes and rental properties around town because of a lack of proper drainage.
Short-term improvements are expected to cost taxpayers about $200,000.
