However, there’s something that hasn’t been prohibited, which is creating a literal stink and that’s the food that some fliers bring with them on the plane.

The transportation company GO Airport Express asked passengers their feelings about this important issue and almost half said they considered smelly food rude while 31 percent offered no opinion. About one in eight respondents believe the airlines should stop anyone from bringing their own food aboard a plane. Then, there are the nine percent who believe in freedom of food, that is, fliers ought to be entitled to carry on whatever grub they want, given the quality of meals offered by the airlines, provided if they feed you at all.

More women than men were offended by foul-smelling food while more men than women wanted a total food ban in the GO Airport Express.

The survey also found that many respondents believe that passengers wouldn’t have to resort to carrying their own food aboard if the airlines served edible meals.
