Hernandez was caught on police surveillance cameras dismantling his phone into three pieces shortly after his arrest for the murder of Odin Lloyd.

The defense had fought to keep the video from being brought into evidence, but Superior Court Judge Susan Garsh ruled Hernandez had no expectation of privacy while inside a parked car in a public lot.

It’s unclear when the surveillance video will be shown to jurors.

Testifying on Wednesday were cops and a firefighter who responded to the crime scene where Lloyd’s body was found. Hernandez’s lawyers have tried to portray the investigation as shoddy.

Hernandez, who played for the New England Patriots, is accused in the 2013 killing of Lloyd, who was dating his fiancee’s sister at the time.
