ESPN: Marshawn Lynch Agree to New Deal with Seahawks
Published at(NEW YORK) — Beast Mode will be running wild in Seattle once again in 2015 as ESPN is reporting that the Seahawks and running back Marshawn Lynch have agreed on a new contract.
The two sides came to an agreement on a three-year deal. He’ll receive $12 million for the 2015 season
Lynch remains one of the top paid running backs in the NFL.
One of the more unique players in the NFL from a personality standpoint, Lynch made it known he wasn’t sure whether or not he wanted to play in 2015.
He infamously didn’t get a chance to run the ball at the goal-line at the end of the Super Bowl. Instead quarterback Russell Wilson was intercepted by cornerback Malcolm Butler.
The 28-year-old Lynch is one of the best running backs in the NFL. This past season, he ran for 1,306 yards while scoring 13 touchdowns.
He has had at least 1,200 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns in four-straight seasons.
