Nets Take Final Playoff Spot as Pacers Flop
Published at(NEW YORK) — On the final night of the NBA season, the Brooklyn Nets found out if they would be heading home or extending their season.
Brooklyn defeated Orlando 101-88 thanks to the strong shooting of rookie point guard Bojan Bogdanovich, who dropped a career high 28 points.
The Nets faltered down the stretch, dropping two in a row, which allowed the Indiana Pacers to re-enter the playoff picture.
Brooklyn was forced to watch their televisions to find out later in the evening that the Pacers would fall to the Memphis Grizzlies 95-83.
“If you get in, it’s a whole new season,” said Nets guard Joe Johnson. “Everybody is 0-0 and then you wipe your hands clean and then you give it another go.”
The Nets will face Johnson’s previous team, the top seeded Atlanta Hawks on April 19.
