The following is a new release from the Idaho Falls Fire Department

IDAHO FALLS — The Idaho Falls Fire Department was dispatched to Idahoan Foods LLC for a reported structure fire at 6:37 p.m. Friday.

Two engines, one ladder truck, two ambulances, a water tender and a battalion chief responded, for a total of 16 firefighters responded to the scene at 6140 N. River Road.

Upon arrival, crews found a fire on the roof of the boiler house of the commercial structure.

They were able to keep the fire contained to the boiler house and extinguish the fire.

There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

The fire started at the exhaust fan in the boiler house when it overheated. The fan was used to remove the heat buildup in the building from the operation of the boiler.

There was siding and roof damage to the boiler house, but the boiler was not damaged.
