Insulation catches fire in semi trailer causing $30,000 in damage
Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS – A box truck carrying insulation caught fire causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage.
Just before noon on Wednesday a truck was carrying bales of insulation to the construction site behind Fairwinds Sand Creek on Valencia Drive in Idaho Falls when it caught fire.
Authorities tell EastIdahoNews.com, the insulation fell onto a compressor, also in the truck, causing the bails to catch fire.
One person received minor burns trying to put the fire out.
Between the damage to the truck, the compressor and the loss of insulation, damage costs are estimated to be around $30,000.
