IDAHO FALLS — A general traffic stop revealed a California woman was reportedly transporting between $8,000 to $10,000 worth of methamphetamine through eastern Idaho.

Idaho State Police pulled over Brittany Lonje Jones, 31, from Vallejo, California, for a traffic violation at 2:42 p.m. Dec. 14. She was stopped on Interstate 15 near Idaho Falls. According to a news release, the officer noticed Jones exhibiting “impaired behavior.” A sobriety test was performed and she was found to be under the influence.

A K-9 unit found Jones was in possession of 1.2 pounds of methamphetamine.

Jones was booked into the Bonneville County Jail and has been charged with felony trafficking in methamphetamine and misdemeanor driving under the influence.

“Our investigation, at this point, sounds like she was coming through our state,” ISP Lt. Chris Weadick told EastIdahonews.com. “I don’t know where the final destination is or would be on that.”
