Woman Dies in Power County Crash

(AMERICAN FALLS, ID) – A woman was killed in a crash along Highway 39 in Power County Wednesday morning.   Authorities say 29-year old Yolanda Avalos, of American Falls was driving her Pontiac Grand Am when she apparently crossed the center line and crashed head on into a semi truck driven by 56-year-old Concepcion Palacios of Aberdeen. Both vehicles burst into flames.  Avalos was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials say she was not wearing a seat belt. Palacios was taken by ambulance to a hospital in American Falls.
