Kersey/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig is expected to hand down suspensions sometime after next week’s All-Star break to New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun and as many as 20 other players for their alleged connection to a South Florida clinic allegedly involved with performance-enhancing drugs, this according to ESPN.

Baseball officials have been working with Anthony Bosch, co-founder of the now closed Biogenesis to investigate whether players received illegal performance enhancers from the clinic.

ESPN reports that Braun recently met with Major League Baseball and refused to answer questions about his relationship with Bosch. Rodriguez is expected to meet with baseball officials within the week.

The commissioner’s office is considering 100-game bans for both Rodriguez and Braun because their connection to Bosch constitutes one offense, and denying a relationship to Major League Baseball constitutes another.
