WAYNE, N.J. — Charlie Durkin did it again.

The Spud Kings’ goalie stopped all 33 shots to earn a second consecutive shutout in the Dineen Cup championships as Idaho Falls downed the Mercer Chiefs 1-0 Saturday night to advance to the championship game.

Leo Mantenuto scored the lone goal at 4:24 in the second off of a power play, assisted by D.J. MacLeish and William Donovan.

The Spud Kings will play the winner of Sunday’s South Shore vs. Mercer game on Monday at 11:30 a.m (MDT) for the Dineen Cup title. An if-necessary game would be Tuesday if the Spud Kings lose.

FloHockey will broadcast the game and KSPZ The Sports Zone 980 AM will carry the radio broadcast.
