Heavy Hail, Rain Leave Drivers Stranded in Colorado
Published at(NEW YORK) — Parts of Colorado were hit with heavy rain and hail on Thursday, prompting the closure of roads and leaving several cars stalled.
In southern Denver, 1 to 2 feet of hail fell, forcing even snow plows to be brought out to clear the streets.
Other areas of the Centennial State were drenched with half a foot of rain. Just north of Colorado Springs, 4 inches came down in 70 minutes.
Residents will get some relief on Friday, as most of the storms will be west of Denver and Colorado Springs.
