Margaret Ann Noble Mathews

Margaret Ann Noble Mathews, 77, passed away August 14, 2025, at the Life Care Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She was the daughter of George Wilkie and Arabell Noble of Lost River, Idaho. She was born June 6th, 1948, in Blackfoot, Bingham County, Idaho.
She attended Moore Elementary School and Butte County High School in Arco, Idaho, then went on to attend Ricks College for 2 years.
She married James Earl Mathews in the Idaho Falls temple on June 22nd, 1968. Together they had 2 daughters, Ann Rachelle and Brenda Lee and a stillborn son, Dusty James Mathews. After 8 years of marriage, they divorced in 1976. Margaret moved to Provo, Utah, along with her two daughters to finish her education. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree and accepted a teaching job in Terreton, Idaho. She taught for 32 years and retired in December of 2007.
Margarets youngest daughter Brenda passed away on October 21, 2007, from heart failure leaving four young children and her husband Troy Richards. Margaret has stayed close to her nine grandchildren sharing love, comfort and support. They include Kelsie, Brett, Jill and Amber, Oakley, Kaitlyn, Rilee, Daxton and Rachelle’s son Ryeker. One granddaughter, Amy Rachelle Richards passed away on June 15th, 1994. Margaret has 4 great grandchildren, Brody, Rixton, Hylee Ann and Rigdon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Raymond, daughter Brenda, and granddaughter Amy. She is survived by a daughter, Rachelle, (Terry Cook), 5 grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Judy and Jeanette.
Margaret’s funeral will be held, Thursday, August 21, 2025, in the Parker 2nd Ward building, 132 North Center Street, Parker, Idaho. The family will meet with friends prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Parker Cemetery.
Margaret was compassionate, loving and very caring of others along with a bit of Scottish stubbornness. She will be greatly missed.
