February 22nd, 1967 - September 6th, 2025

Greg died Saturday morning, September 6, 2025, at home, under hospice care, beside his wife Sarah. After 22 months of battling pancreatic cancer Greg has been freed of the pain and discomfort.

Greg leaves behind his wife Sarah Haden Fredericksen; a step-son Haden Paul Ausland; son, Quinn Reece; and daughter, Karissa Reed. Greg’s three siblings Debbie McConnell (husband Don and their children Jayce and wife Tiffany, and Danon), Nancy Jameson (husband Michael), and Chris Fredericksen (wife Kim and their children Christian and wife Emma, Logan, and Madeline)

Greg worked for the Federal Government level GS-15 for NHTSA. Previously worked for the State of Idaho Transportation Department. His college degree in Human Resources, Business and Development, is from Idaho State University.

Greg was born and raised in Ashton, Idaho. Later living in Rigby, Idaho; Boise, Idaho; Sacramento, California; Bainbridge Island, Washington; Auburn, Washington, and finally back to Idaho Falls, Idaho. He has enjoyed living on the banks of the Snake River since 2022. Greg was only 58 years old and will be dearly missed and mourned by family, friends, and co-workers.

Greg’s funeral will be held in Ashton, Idaho, at Baxter Funeral Home, 717 Main Street, on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.. A reception for friends and family will be held at 511 Main Street immediately following the funeral. Graveside service will be at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 15, at the Pineview Cemetery.

In lieu of sending flowers, Greg would like you to donate to The Village, Idaho Falls YMCA, or Yesler Community Center in Seattle Washington.
