Paula Maud (Reiman) Peterson 75 died on September 11, 2025. Pictured here in Island Park catching a fish on the reservoir July 1, 2025. On July 12th Paula was taken to Idaho Falls after living in Island Park for almost 6 years. Under the direction of her son and his spouse and the guidance of The Gables of Blackfoot, Paula fought until her last breath, less than two months after being taken.

Paula is survived by her son Shane (Val), grandson Tyler (Jessica), and very special to her heart great granddaughter, Oakley. Her best friend she callled Mikey of lsland Park, ID and her dog Uso who was with her almost everywhere she went (Paula would say “the threez of us”). Brother Terry (Mary) Reiman of Kingman, AZ. Sister Lori Landis of Loveland, CO. Sister Janae Landis, sister Karla (Mark) Sharpe, brother Doug (Elke) Landis, brother Phill (Anelle) Landis, and brother Joel Reiman. Preceded in death by her grandson Trevor who she adored. Uso was taken by authorities and may have found a new home.

In her later years Paula enjoyed traveling between Island Park and Idaho Falls, bringing up the fact she climbed the Tetons after retirement. A number of trips revolved around getting to see Oakley. Sawtelle mountain was always special to her and talking about her dad working up there in the past. The trip up Sawtelle road was a regular ride on the 4th of July (getting Uso the dog away from fireworks). Paula’s life was always centered around Uso and his wants and needs, she was also very protective of him. Paula gained the nickname “Tooli” while helping Mike on building projects – and the nickname “Pzzz” because of all the words that describe her starting with the letter P: pleasant, pretty, passionate, polite, polished, praiseworthy, precious, and Paula.

A celebration of life will be held in Last Chance, Island Park, ID. The magical place Paula loved to laugh and have a big smile on her face, listen to music, hike Box Canyon, fish, boat, cross country ski, bird watch, go bumming on rides, sit on the porch, and do lots of dancing.
