Kidnapper Had Six Gunshot Wounds

(BOISE, ID) – A California kidnapping suspect who was killed in a standoff with FBI agents in northern Idaho this summer was shot at least six times. Valley County Coroner Nathan Hess confirmed this week that 40-year-old James DiMaggio suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his head, chest, and extremities. DiMaggio abducted 16-year-old Hannah Anderson and murdered her younger brother and mother before fleeing with the girl to Idaho’s River of No Return Wilderness in August. Anderson was rescued unharmed following the shootout.
