POCATELLO — Two women were transported to the hospital early Thursday morning after hitting a deer, causing their car to flip.

According to Idaho State Police Lt. Todd Orr, two women were traveling on Interstate 15 when the drivers struck a deer on the road near mile marker 65.

The collision caused the car, a 2010 Toyota Corolla, to veer off the road near West Hildreth Drive, adjacent to Century High School.

Orr says their injuries were not life-threatening, but the occupants of the car were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
