POCATELLO — Indian Hills Elementary is closing immediately following a water line break on Cheyenne Avenue, prompting a reunification effort for families, according to Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 21 district officials.

All students and staff are safe and have been transported to the designated reunification location at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building at 5425 S. Bannock Highway.

Families are urged not to go to Indian Hills; rather, parents and guardians should go directly to the reunification site to pick up their children.

Students will be released by their classroom teachers, and a photo ID is required for checkout.

Officials ask families to follow all directions from school staff and first responders to ensure an orderly process. They also request that families refrain from calling the reunification site so emergency teams can keep phone lines clear.

Anyone with questions is asked to contact the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District office at (208) 232-3563.
