Idaho Falls man killed in crash on Highway 20

IDAHO FALLS — A 29-year-old Idaho Falls man died Friday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 20 in Bonneville County.
The crash happened at about 2:15 p.m., according to Idaho State Police.
Police say the man was driving east in a 2025 Kia K5 when it collided with the trailer of a westbound 2019 Kenworth semi driven by a 40-year-old man from Aurora, Colorado.
A 2023 Ford F-150, driven by a 22-year-old man from Severance, Colorado, then collided with the Kia.
The driver of the Kia died at the scene. Police say he was wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the Ford was injured and taken by ambulance to a local hospital. According to ISP, he was not wearing a seat belt. The semi driver was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
Emergency crews blocked both directions of U.S. 20 while they responded, and traffic was rerouted through Blackfoot.
Authorities have not released names, and Idaho State Police are still investigating the crash.
