These local restaurants are open on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day

IDAHO FALLS — Do you want to enjoy the holidays without the added stress of cooking?

While many restaurants are closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas, quite a few are open! Here is a list of places ready to welcome you for the holidays.

Idaho Falls/Ammon

• Jakers Bar & Grill. Jakers is closed on Christmas Day, but on Christmas Eve, it is offering a Double R Ranch Prime Rib dinner, along with their normal dinner menu. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Call (208) 524-5240 to make reservations. Walk-ins are welcome.
• The Snakebite Restaurant. Snakebite will be open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on Christmas Day.
• McKenzie River. This restaurant is open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m, and it is closed on Christmas Day.
• The Sandpiper Restaurant. This restaurant by the river is open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and is closed on Christmas Day.
• Chinese Garden Restaurant. The business is open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Christmas from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Black Bear Diner. It is open both Christmas Eve and Christmas from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Christmas Day, it will be serving turkey, ham and prime rib.
• Redd’s Grill. This restaurant will be serving its final Christmas Eve Brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Snake River Event Center at the Shilo Inn. It will include a crepe and omelet station, a hot chocolate and coffee bar, yogurt parfaits, French toast, glazed ham, green bean casserole, as well as a dessert table filled with a variety of cookies, bread puddings, peanut butter fudge, peach and apple cobblers and more. • Applebee’s. The bar and grill is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve and is closed on Christmas Day.
• Fuji Sushi & Hibachi. It will be open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and on Christmas Day from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Yoimi Sushi and Hibachi. This sushi and hibachi restaurant will be open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. It will be closed on Christmas Day.
• Chuck-A-Rama Buffet. The buffet is open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be closed on Christmas Day.
• Dee Kitchen. The business will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Tchê Brazilian Grill. The grill is open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will cost $35.99 per adult all day. It is closed on Christmas Day.
• Sizzler. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day.
• Burger Theory. This restaurant is open on Christmas Eve from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will serve breakfast and lunch. It is closed on Christmas Day.
• The Frosty Gator. It is open Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and is closed Christmas Day.
• Smitty’s Pancake and Steakhouse. This restaurant is open on Christmas Eve from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m, and is closed on Christmas Day.

Pocatello/Chubbuck

• Applebee’s. The bar and grill is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., but it will be closed on Christmas.

• Sizzler.The restaurant is open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and it will be closed on Christmas Day.

Rexburg

• Denny’s. The diner will be open 24 hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas.
• Applebee’s. The bar and grill is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed on Christmas Day.
• Masala Indian Cuisine. This Indian restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and closed on Christmas Day.

Blackfoot

• Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi. This steakhouse and sushi restaurant will be open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and then from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. It will be closed on Christmas Day.
• Rupe’s Burgers. This burger joint will be open on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be closed on Christmas Day.

American Falls

• China City Restaurant. This restaurant will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• M & J Kitchen. It is open on Christmas Eve from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., and closed on Christmas Day.

Ririe

• Farmhouse Table at 7N Ranch. The restaurant will be open for reservations only on Christmas Eve from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and closed on Christmas Day.
• Heise Pizza Parlor. The pizza parlor will be open on Christmas Eve from 11:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., offering takeout until 5 p.m. It will be closed on Christmas Day.

Driggs

• Forage Bistro and Lounge. The Bistro and Lounge is open on Christmas Eve from noon to 8 p.m., and making a reservation is recommended. It will be closed on Christmas Day.
• Royal Wolf. This spot is open on Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and is closed on Christmas Day.
• Local Kitchen Provisions. This restaurant is open on Christmas Eve from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m, and is closed on Christmas Day.
