Mark Woodrow Ellis

Mark Woodrow Ellis, beloved son of William and Carolyn Ellis of Hopkins, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mark was a devoted son, uncle, brother, father, grandfather, and proud veteran. He is survived by his daughter, Mysti Ellis Walker (Roger); his son, John Aubrey Beauregarde Ellis; and his cherished grandchildren, Brystol Lynn Ellis, Braylee Grace Ellis, and Levi Bryce Ellis.

Mark honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1980 to 1984 and later continued his service in the South Carolina National Guard from 1990 to 1991, achieving the rank of Sergeant. During his military career, he served as an 82B20 Construction Surveyor, demonstrating exceptional skill, dedication, and leadership.

Following his military service, Mark built a distinguished and successful career as a land surveyor. As a dual-registered professional land surveyor in both South Carolina and North Carolina for over 36 years, he earned a reputation for excellence, precision, and unwavering commitment to his craft. His professionalism, strong work ethic, and high standards left a lasting impact on those who worked alongside him and within the

communities he served.

Graveside services will be Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., at Annis Little Butte Cemetery, 3883 East Menan Lorenzo Hwy, Rigby Idaho. A Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the graveside at Eckersell Funeral Home, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho.

Mark will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and pursuit of excellence. He will be deeply missed by many and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
