DRIGGS — (Homestead Senior Living) Residents of The Homestead Senior Living bundled up for a winter outing to Driggs, where they experienced the beauty of the region’s annual snow and ice sculptures up close at Driggs Snowscapes.

The group traveled to attend the seasonal showcase, a popular winter attraction that draws visitors from across eastern Idaho and neighboring states. The intricate sculptures — carved from massive blocks of ice and packed snow — featured everything from wildlife and astronauts to whimsical characters and abstract designs.

“I haven’t seen ice sculptures like that in years,” said one resident. “The detail was incredible. It brought back memories of winter festivals I attended when I was younger.”

“Our goal is to create meaningful experiences,” said an activities coordinator. “Events like this spark conversation, laughter, and connection. It’s wonderful to see our residents light up when they try something different.”

As the group returned home, residents chatted about their favorite sculptures and shared photos with family members. For many, the frosty afternoon in Driggs was a reminder that adventure doesn’t stop with age — it simply takes a little extra planning and a lot of heart.
