Aleta Davis
November 11th, 1949 - May 6th, 2026
Aleta Louise Johnson Davis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, at the age of 76.
She was born on November 11, 1949, in Afton, Wyoming to a loving family who helped shape the woman she would become.
On July 26, 1969, Aleta married the love of her life, Karl Davis. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, service, and enduring love. As a devoted wife, Aleta supported her husband and family through life’s many seasons with strength and sacrifice.
Aleta was a gifted seamstress an exceptional cook, using her talents to bless those around her. Her home was her place of comfort.
She found her greatest joy in caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her compassion extended beyond people to the many stray and abandoned animals she lovingly took in over the years, always ensuring they had a safe and caring home.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Aleta lived a life grounded in faith and service. She carried a quiet testimony of Jesus Christ and found peace in the promises of eternal families.
Her family has the peace of knowing that she is now with her devoted husband, Karl Davis and beloved son, Derek Davis who proceeded her in death.
She is survived by her daughters, Stacy Davis Carpenter (Wade) and Christy Davis Chapple (James); her brothers, Bruce, Brad, and Bart Johnson; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind a devotion, faith despite her challenges in this life, her family mourns her passing, they find comfort in knowing she has returned home to her Heavenly Father and that families can be together forever.
Aleta will be laid to rest at Woodville cemetery next to her departed, loving husband, Karl Davis, on Friday, May 15, at 1 PM. We invite her friends and loved ones to pay their respects at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
