Thomas “Tom” William Havlicak

Thomas “Tom” William Havlicak, 68, of Idaho Falls, was reunited with his brother and parents on April 28, 2026, passing at his home and surrounded by his family.

Tom was born December 9, 1957, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Donald Rogers Havlicak and Darlene Frugoli Havlicak. He grew up in Rockland on the family farm. The family then moved to American Falls where Tom graduated from American Falls High School.

Through his first marriage to Wendy DeGiulio, he was blessed with two children, Rick and Chelsy.

On April 20, 1996, he married Karen Ann Brothers in Reno, Nevada. They shared thirty years of adventures together.

Tom worked as a Millwright, building some of the area dams and malt plants. He also worked as a crew foreman at the Naval Reactors Facility at the INL. Later in life, he loved his job as a Mechanical Foreman for the Power Plant in Idaho Falls.

Tom was a man of many skills and could fix anything. He rode with the Goldwing Motorcycle Group and raced cars at the Atomic City Raceway. He loved riding dirt bikes and side-by-sides with his family.

Tom is survived by his wife, Karen Ann Brothers-Havlicak of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Rick (Sara) Havlicak of Aberdeen, ID; daughter, Chelsy (Turan) Harten of Pocatello, ID, and his granddaughter, Sterling Harten; sister, Gina Havlicak Liftawi of Pocatello, ID; niece, Sarah (Russell) Liftawi Osborn and nephew, TJ Liftawi; three great nieces, Winnie, Hazel, and Emily Liftawi of Pocatello, ID.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Darlene Havlicak; and his brother, Ricky Don Havlicak.

Tom was a truly dependable man, always capable and willing to help others. He had a heart of gold and treated people with kindness and compassion.
