Thirty-four-year-old Andrew Truscott of Idaho Falls was hunting in the Pete Creek area with a friend’s 15-year-old son when they became separated. With up to two feet of snow on the ground and temperatures dropping below zero, Truscott called 911 and requested assistance. Crews were able to locate the teen within about four hours. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is asking hunters in the region to stick close together in pairs and to always have a plan in place if they get split up.
