Travis Dee Bowen, 54, of Iona, passed away May 24, 2026, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Travis was born May 4, 1972, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Von Dee Bowen and Sharon Kay Hill Bowen. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School. He also attended Eastern Idaho Technical College (EITC) where he received his Associate Degree in Environmental Science and a certificate in Welding.

On July 20, 2001, he married Sarah Jean Bee in Idaho Falls. Travis and Sarah made their home in Iona, Idaho, where Travis worked in Bonneville County Law Enforcement.

He was a member of South Eastern Idaho Practical Shooters from 2004-2006. He enjoyed family trips to Yellowstone Park, camping with friends and family, John Wayne movies, photographing wildlife and making yearly calendars. He loved his neighbors and having BBQs and s’mores by the fire. He was also an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Travis is survived by his wife, Sarah Bowen of Iona, ID; daughters, Ashley Bowen of Shelley, ID, and Amber Bowen of Iona, ID; sisters, Sandy Bowen of Greeley, CO, and Kelli Bowen-Aders of Ammon, ID.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Von Dee and Sharon Bowen, and grandparents, Kermit and Edna Hill, and Bernal and Alice Bowen.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.
