A BRAVE WOMAN — A Canadian woman has gone viral after video captured her kicking a cougar off of one of her animals.
Footage shared online earlier this month shows a cougar gripping the neck of a goat belonging to Gina Moore, a farmer in British Columbia, Canada. As the cougar attacks the goat, two other goats run away.
The cougar clings to the goat and wraps its paws around the goat’s upper body, preventing it from escaping.
Moore can then be seen rushing to the scene as she yells, “Get out of here!” But the cougar continues to grip the goat’s neck. That’s when Moore approaches the cougar and immediately kicks the animal in its side.
“Get out of here!” she continues yelling.
The cougar ends up releasing the goat from its grasp and takes off running as Moore chases after the unwelcome visitor.
Moore said she was “running on adrenaline” and “knew there was a chance that the cougar would turn on me, so I’d better make whatever I did count.”
Since the video was posted online, it has gotten almost 2 million views on the CBS News YouTube page alone.
Viewers have said Moore is “amazing” and “one tough lady.”
“Oh wow, she didn’t even flinch,” one viewer commented. “She went straight to rescue mode! Bravo!”
Another comment reads, “She is so brave. Now thats what you call no fear!”
