IDAHO FALLS — If you’re a carnivore, or something adjacent, you might fit right in at Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse in Idaho Falls. Their customary gauchos will bring you meat until you say “when.”

I sat down with an owner of Rodizio Grill, Dean Leavitt, and he told me all about a few different dishes that the restaurant offers.

For context, Rodizio Grill is only somewhat new to the local area. It was formerly known as Tche Brazilian Grill — a small market version of Rodizio that was piloted in Idaho Falls. But Tche only left locals craving more, so it recently became a full Rodizio Grill.

During my visit to the Brazilian steakhouse, I started with a potato salad recipe that is from the restaurant founder’s mother, quail eggs and ceviche. Then I drank piña colada straight from the pineapple. And when we were ready for the main courses — 14 of the restaurant’s signature meats that make rounds around the eatery — we flipped the table card to green.

And just like that, the gauchos were at our beck and call. Each meat was more than satiating, and I’d personally recommend the Parmesan steak.

To finish off my meal, I tried the delicious Bolo Brigadeiro and Rabanada for dessert.

Rodizio Grill is open Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. It is located at 2394 East Sunnyside Road in Idaho Falls.
