Body of man missing in Big Rock Fire located

HEISE — Authorities had been searching for a man who disappeared during the evacuations caused by the Big Rock Fire last Friday. His body has been found.
Robert Michael Quinn, 64, also known as Robbie, was last seen in the vicinity of the Big Rock Fire. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday that Quinn’s remains had been found around 4 p.m.

Quinn’s next of kin has been notified, according to the release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
“Sheriff Steve Anderson would like to express his sincere gratitude to the Jefferson County deputies, Jefferson Tech Rescue, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, Bonneville County Search and Rescue and Bingham County Search and Rescue who assisted with the search,” the release states. “Our thoughts are with Mr. Quinn’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
