One of BYU-Idaho’s most-requested artists is returning to campus

REXBURG — One of BYU-Idaho’s most requested musical artists is returning to Rexburg for a third time.
Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Jake Scott will perform Friday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the BYU-Idaho Hart Auditorium.
Scott is known for melody-driven pop songs including “Tuesdays,” “Favorite T-Shirt” and “Like No One Does.” BYU-Idaho says his return has been highly requested by students.
The Fayetteville, Arkansas, native began attracting attention with his 2013 debut EP, Of Life and Love and Longing, which landed on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart.
Beginning in 2018, Scott independently wrote, produced and released a new song every month for three consecutive years. The project helped grow his audience from a few thousand listeners to millions. He has since accumulated nearly 1 billion total streams.
Scott also collaborated with country singer Russell Dickerson on “She Likes It,” which has surpassed 300 million streams and earned a 2x Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.
As a songwriter, Scott has written songs recorded by Morgan Wallen, Jason Mraz, Aloe Blacc and Sara Evans. He has appeared on TODAY, Good Morning America and The Kelly Clarkson Show. His first headlining tour sold out in 2022, and he released his debut album, Lavender, in 2023.
