Rexburg ice cream shop to celebrate anniversary with free scoops and giveaways

REXBURG — A local ice cream shop is inviting everyone to a one-year celebration at its storefront featuring free ice cream and $1,500 worth of giveaways.
Creamy Daze, at 175 West 2nd South in Rexburg, is in Hemming Village, down the street from the Brigham Young University-Idaho campus. The storefront opened in August 2025.
Taylee Brinkerhoff owns it with her husband, Tanner.
“We’ve been there for a year, and it’s been awesome. We got lucky with that location because nothing opens up around there,” she said. “We get a lot of college students, and then when it’s the summer break, we get families.”

The one-year celebration will be happening on Saturday, Sept. 26, from noon to 2 p.m.
“During those times, we are going to do free scoops of ice cream,” she said. “We have tons of giveaways.”
A DJ from The Wolf will be on site playing music and giving away concert tickets. An $800 pair of earrings from Noble Jewelers in Rexburg will be given away, along with smoothie cards from Jamba Juice, permanent bracelets and pints of ice cream. A balloon artist will also be there.
It will be one big party, Brinkerhoff said.
Creamy Daze sells Blue Bell ice cream, which started in 1907 in Texas, according to its website.
“We offer over 44 flavors, and we serve 24 at a time. We also do dairy-free Dole Whip,” Brinkerhoff said. “We have a ton of flavors that a lot of people don’t, like oatmeal cream pie, which is a very popular one right now. … I love that we got Blue Bell. It was really hard to get. A lot of the college students already know what Blue Bell ice cream is because they are from all over. They’re all excited that it’s here, and I’m super glad they already know about it and can have their favorite ice cream.”
Creamy Daze sells milkshakes, cookie sandwiches and hot fudge brownie sundaes too. It has seasonal items like an apple cider float.
“It’s vanilla ice cream with apple cider juice in it and an apple cider donut on top,” she said. “We also do freshly made waffle cones, and we do cake cones. Some of them are specialty cones. They’re dipped into milk chocolate with sprinkles or Oreos.”
She invites people to the one-year celebration on Saturday and to try Blue Bell ice cream if they’ve never experienced it before.
“Blue Bell has always gone by the nation’s favorite ice cream. I would say just come try. It’s really good creamy ice cream,” Brinkerhoff said.
Creamy Daze additionally has three food trucks, with one being at Rigby Lake all summer long. Itrecently added a freezer cart filled with pre-scooped ice cream, and it’s been popular at weddings and events.
