IDAHO FALLS — Students in Bonneville Joint School District 93 are getting a major boost for their sports teams, clubs and extracurricular activities, thanks to a community fundraiser from Teton Toyota that brought in more than $158,000.
The annual D93 car giveaway raised more than $158,000 this year, nearly doubling the more than $90,000 collected in 2024. Carmen Sanchez won the grand prize — a brand-new 2026 Toyota RAV4 donated by Teton Toyota.
D93 students led the fundraising effort, selling raffle tickets for $10 each. Every dollar raised stays within the district to help pay for equipment, uniforms, travel to competitions and other program expenses.
The money helps create more opportunities for students to compete, perform and develop leadership skills outside the classroom.
“For us, this is about investing in local students and creating opportunities for them to learn, compete and grow,” said Travis Zmak, managing partner of Teton Toyota. “Seeing more than $158,000 go to D93 kids is exactly why we do this.”
The giveaway is part of Teton Auto Group’s car donation program, which has supported local schools for 18 years.
Teton Toyota congratulated Sanchez on winning the vehicle and thanked the students and community members whose support made this year’s fundraiser possible.
