Yvonne H. Lanier
March 18th, 1937 - October 18th, 2026
Yvonne H. Lanier, 89, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 18, 2026, at The Gables Assisted Living Center of Idaho Falls, surrounded by her family. She was under the care of Alliance Hospice.
Yvonne was born March 18, 1937, in Moore, Idaho, to Charles Albert Hanni and Dolly Irene Hull Hanni. She grew up and attended schools in Mackay, ID and graduated from Mackay High School in 1955. She also attended College of Eastern Idaho Quality Assurance Program.
Yvonne worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Naval Reactor Facility.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She loved her pets — many dogs and cats. She loved to camp and spend time outdoors, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed attending all of her families sporting events and school activities. Her grandchildren have many good memories of going to the Humane Society to look at the animals and going to shop at the thrift stores.
Yvonne is survived by her son, Michael (Cindy) Lanier of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Neil (Rebecca) Lanier of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jerry (Jari) Lanier of Otsego, MN; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dolly Hanni; brothers, Charles Hanni, and Daryl Hanni; sisters Helen Dowling, and Rose Mitchell.
A celebration of life will be held at Kate Curley Park in Idaho Falls, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2027.
