ASHTON — Warm River Studio is wrapping up its 2026 concert season with a Halloween-inspired evening of classical and contemporary music featuring violinist Richard Ferguson and a few musical friends.

The final performance of the season, titled “The Devil Went Up to Idaho,” will take place Friday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. at Warm River Studio, 612 Main Street in Ashton.

Ferguson, who performs with the Idaho Falls Symphony and Bozeman Symphony, will be joined by cellist Lewis Garner and violist Joe Jewett for an evening of music that explores the season’s spooky side.

“This concert, which I’m thinking of as The Devil Went Up to Idaho, will offer a musical exploration of facing our fears,” Ferguson said.

The program will feature a mix of ensemble and solo performances, including works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Eugène Ysaÿe and a rendition of “The Devil Went Down to Georgia,” along with other classical and contemporary selections.

Between musical pieces, Ferguson will share stories, humor and insights into the music, offering audiences a chance to learn more about the compositions and the musicians behind them.

Studio owner Ellen Lynch says the concert is designed to appeal to a wide range of listeners, including those who may not typically attend classical music performances.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with complimentary refreshments available before the concert.

Tickets are $20 and can be reserved online at Warm River Studio or by calling (208) 390-9088.

While the Halloween concert marks the conclusion of Warm River Studio’s 2026 performance series, organizers are already planning next year’s lineup.
