Ammon man accused of sexually abusing vulnerable relative

AMMON — A 44-year-old man is facing serious felony charges after concerns were raised by medical staff alleging he may have been sexually abusing a relative.
According to court documents, deputies with the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Sept. 1 from a mental health clinic in Idaho Falls over worries that a patient may have been manipulated into a sexual relationship with a family member.
The victim, 21, is described in the document as being on disability and having the intellectual capacity of a 16- or 17-year-old.
The deputies spoke with the victim, and after the discussion, they believe there may have been four instances of sexual intercourse between September and November 2025.
When deputies contacted Corry Nolan Williams on Sept. 24 about the accusations against him, he told them they were not true.
In the documents, Williams gives more information about the disability the victim has, which involves her seeing realistic hallucinations that she later believes are real. He said that the victim has a long history of making false reports.
Deputies spoke with another family member, who also corroborated what Williams told deputies about the hallucinations. She also said that the victim has difficulty distinguishing the hallucinations from reality.
Later that day, deputies received an email from the victim requesting that she recant her statement. When asked if this decision was coerced, the victim stated that it was not, and it was part of her hallucinations.
However, on Oct. 19, medical staff from a health clinic left a voice message, expressing their concerns about the victim being in a sexual relationship with Williams.
The medical staff also expressed that they believe the victim was being manipulated into lying to them to cover for him.
On Oct. 21, another interview was conducted with the victim, during which she told deputies she was manipulated into changing her statement, but that she also had proof in the form of text messages between herself and Williams.
The document states that several screenshots were obtained. Many messages include explicit requests sent from a number believed to be Williams’. A review of the messages indicates that deputies believe the instances of sexual intercourse occurred between November 2025 and August 2026.
On Oct. 27, a search warrant was executed at the residence, where deputies questioned Williams about the messages.
During questioning, Williams confirmed that the phone number associated with the messages was his until a month earlier. When asked about photographs showing a man, he also allegedly confirmed it was him.
The document states that when deputies questioned him about the explicit messages, that was when he asked for a lawyer.
Williams was placed under arrest and booked into the Bonneville County Jail, where he faces felony incest and felony sexual abuse of a vulnerable adult.
A public defender has been appointed for Williams. The Idaho State Public Defender’s Office does not comment on active cases.
He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 1 p.m. on Oct. 6 before Magistrate Judge John Dewey.
Although Williams has been accused of a crime, that does not necessarily mean he committed it. Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty. He faces a possible punishment of up to 40 years in prison, if he is found guilty.
