The remains of an unidentified woman have been pulled from the Salmon River nearly 125 miles south of Salmon. An autopsy is being performed in Boise to determine the cause of death as well as the woman’s identity. It is possible that the remains may be those of Lela Knox, who disappeared after falling into the river May 25 in Salmon. Officials spotted the body while doing a fly-over Monday.
