Bryan Clark
Bryan Clark is a 16-year veteran journalist who worked as a reporter, editor and opinion writer before becoming East Idaho News’ senior digital news editor.
He started his career as the only full-time news reporter at a weekly newspaper in West Virginia. In 2014, he moved to East Idaho to become a state government reporter at the Post Register in Idaho Falls, where he covered four sessions of the Idaho Legislature. He subsequently worked as an opinion and city editor there.
He most recently worked as an opinion columnist for the Idaho Statesman.
Clark has won numerous regional and state journalism awards, including a C.B. Blethen Award for investigative reporting and a Society of Professional Journalists award for crime and justice reporting. He was named to the Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce’s “Distinguished Under 40” list in 2017.
He trains hard to be a mediocre rock climber and spends as much time as he can climbing in the Tetons and other nearby ranges. He is also an avid backpacker and hiker, and he occasionally dabbles in fly fishing.
Clark holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Oregon.
Clark lives in Idaho Falls with his wife.
