Cody Roberts
Cody Roberts was born and raised in Idaho Falls. He graduated from Compass Academy in 2020 and attended the University of Idaho. There he worked at the student newspaper, the Argonaut, for three semesters as a reporter and editor. His coverage ranged from city council meetings to football games. He later joined the university’s ESPN+ broadcast team and creative content team, focusing on regular coverage of the university’s many sports events.
Cody graduated from UI in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Shortly after, he started as a reporter for the Post Register newspaper. His coverage included politics, legislature, crime, science, health, construction and education. In 2025, Cody started as a freelance reporter for the Post Register, Idaho Falls Magazine and East Idaho News. Cody came on to East Idaho News full-time in 2026.
