I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Lisa Burtenshaw on the Idaho Falls City Council for the past five years, and I can say with confidence that Lisa has what it takes to lead our city as mayor.

From day one, Lisa brought deep public service experience to the Council. Her leadership as chair of the Board of School District 91, her advocacy for the College of Eastern Idaho, her years of service with the Rotary Club improving our Riverwalk and her countless volunteer roles gave her the insight to make an immediate impact. That impact was recognized as Lisa was elected City Council president.

Lisa has led meaningful change in our city’s budget process, strengthened community engagement and helped guide Idaho Falls on a path of continued progress. Our city’s success is evident, being named Best Performing Small City multiple times and in the growing number of families choosing to call Idaho Falls home.

Lisa is a builder. She builds trust, partnerships and regional relationships. She’s forged strong connections with the INL, our business community and neighboring municipalities. She’s helped shape a city that’s vibrant, livable and safe.

Idaho Falls is arguably one of the most complex cities in Idaho. We operate our own power and fiber utilities, manage our own waste collection and street maintenance, operate a bustling airport, provide comprehensive fire and police services, and offer robust parks and recreation amenities.

No other city in Idaho matches the breadth of services we offer. Lisa understands every one of them. She’s spent years learning the intricacies of our municipal operations and has earned the respect of her peers through her intelligence, steady demeanor and commitment to hard work.

With a $400 million budget, 800 employees and nearly 70,000 residents, Idaho Falls needs a leader who knows this city inside and out. Lisa Burtenshaw is that leader. She’s ready to serve from day one, and she’s the most qualified, prepared and vetted candidate we can elect.

Idaho Falls deserves a mayor who understands the depth and complexity of our city and who is ready to lead us into an even brighter future. That person is Lisa Burtenshaw.

Election day is Tuesday, Dec. 2.

Please join me and vote for Lisa Burtenshaw for mayor.
