Kimberli Brunson

Kimberli Rebecca Brunson, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 18, 2023.

Kim was born December 22, 1959, in Sandpoint, Idaho. Her parents were Stephen Lewis Brunson and Jeanne Allen Brunson. She lived in Rexburg and moved Idaho Falls when she was five years old. She attended Eastside Elementary and Hawthorne Elementary, OE Bell Junior High and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She attended University of Utah and Stevens-Henager College, earning her associates degree and graduating magna cum laude.

In 1980, she married Robert James Dougherty in Idaho Falls. They added three children to their family. They would later divorce. Kimberli then began her life, with the love of her life, Kent “Spider” Morris. They enjoyed many years traveling, attending concerts, and getting to know the artists well. Kimberli worked in the banking industry for many years before she retired. She had many great memories with all of her co-workers.

She was a volunteer of Job’s Daughters and Demolay and the Civitans. She enjoyed billiards, rock hunting, picking huckleberries and wild asparagus, and spending time with her grandchildren, AddiLynn and Evie.

Kimberli is survived by her loving son, Shawn (Janice Capson) Dougherty of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Emily (Allan) Brighton of Rigby, ID; sister, Zoe (Ron) Coronado of White Rock, NM,; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, John Dougherty, life partner, Kent “Spider” Morris, and dear friend and adopted daughter, Michelle Davis.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N Ridge Ave. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
