Lorraine Garrett Fisher

Lorraine Garrett Fisher, 72, of Ammon, passed away on May 3, 2025, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.
Lorraine was born on November 29, 1952, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to James Keith Garrett and Mary Hammon Garrett. She was born while her father was serving in the U.S. Air Force. Shortly after she was born, the family moved to Aurora, Colorado, until 1960, when they came back to Rigby, Idaho. She graduated from Rigby High School in 1971; She went on to college at Ricks College.
On October 13, 1972, she married Michael J. Fisher in the Logan Utah Temple. Lorraine and Mike had three children: Jared, Danell, and Shon. The family lived in Rock Springs, Wyoming, and when Mike retired from work, they returned to Idaho, making their home in Ammon.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings, but her favorite was always in the Primary. She enjoyed camping, cowboy music, playing games, and going to the Yellowstone Playmill. Above everything, time with her family was always her most precious moments. Lorraine loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Fisher of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her daughter, Danell Tanner (Terrance Leonard) of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her son, Shon (Jamie) Fisher of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her grandchildren: Jay, Morgan, Levi, Jenne, Brailee, James, Madeline, Ella, and Logan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law, son, and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., May 17, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 395 2nd Street, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends and family one hour prior to services. Services are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
