LouAnn Quinton

March 5th, 1946 - February 24th, 2024









LouAnn (Louie) Quinton, 77, of Ammon, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024, at her home. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.

Louie was born on March 5, 1946, in American Falls to Roscoe Lehi Quinton and Jenni Marva Morgan Quinton. She grew up in Iona and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1964.

She met and fell in love with Reyes Orozco. They had been together for fourteen years and welcomed their daughter, Rebecca. She has lived in Iona, Provo, Idaho Falls, Milo, Rigby, and Ammon.

Louie enjoyed playing Bingo at the Eagles Lodge and Fort Hall. She loved her grandsons, and she enjoyed watching them play baseball and attending their games. She was a very selfless and hard-working woman.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Gaudencio) Cortez of Ammon, Idaho; her grandsons: Alex (Rhyan) Cortez of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Lorenzo Cortez of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Kaleb Cortez of Ammon, Idaho; her brothers: Marvin (Terri) Quinton of Nampa, Idaho, Dick Quinton of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Kendal (Dana) Quinton of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her sisters: Judy (John) Weiszhaar of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Carol Setser of Mahomet, Illinois, and Dea (Larry) Ward of Las Vegas, Nevada; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at noon, on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. The family will meet with friends and family from 10:30-11:45 a.m., prior to the services. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.coltrinmortuary.com.
